It was a long time coming but Lillian and I were finally able to connect on a super edgy and grungy styled photoshoot. Typically, you’ll see us do more pinup together. This time we ditched the bright and fun for the more moody and cinematic.
It’s always a great time to shoot with Lillian. Her creativity and the way she engages the camera is really special. She’s a hoot to photograph, you never know what funny face you’ll get when she’s getting in character.
The weather wasn’t as cold as it could be but it definitely wasn’t warm. Poor Lillian had goosebumps on top of her goosebumps. But she braved the bitter cold and made it happen. We found this old Nike Missile Base and used one of the old barracks to start out.
We found an old chair and went straight to work. For the shoot I began with my Sigma 16mm and switched it out with my 85mm from time to time. I used my Flashpoint EV200 for my strobe and my Godox 8600 for my backlight when I used it.
All in all it was a successful session. I’m super happy with the majority of what we got. Lillian did amazing as usual! Looking for a photographer? I’d love to connect!
