It took some time for our schedules to line-up but we finally got the chance to work together. Lynn is a modeling vet, working with local photographers and some from Chicago. For me, it was a real treat being able to collab with her! Valparaiso is a very small town. I might’ve shot just about every location there is. Over the summer the city built a new walkway that followed highway 30 and with it a cool little overpass.
We grabbed our gear and began shooting! Lynn made great work of the railing as her prop. Being able to use the car lights as bokeh in the background was what I hoped would happen. While we shot this during the day I hope to go back to this location and do a night shoot. The car lights will look amazing.
I used my trustee Sony A6500 with my Sony FE 85mm Lens. This thing is a beast for portraiture. It was overcast so I needed the 1.8 aperture. All of these images were edited in light and then touched up in Photoshop.
All in all I believe it was a very successful portrait session.
