Dru is one of the most kind young ladies I've ever encountered. Every week she pours herself into her cheerleaders, making them not just great competitors but great young women. She is a talent but even greater person!
Being able to line up this photoshoot was so awesome. I didn't know she had the hook-up to kick-butt car, so when she told me I got so excited. We picked a day and went for it. All we needed was an empty space to be left alone and Dru with the car did the rest.
In the beginning of the shoot I leaned a lot on the Sony FE 85mm 1.8. I wanted to get tack sharp images along with amazing depth of field. This lens brought it's "a-game" that day. We took a couple wide angle shots and even threw in some thirty millimeter in there too. But for the most part we shot with my most trusted lens, eighty-five.
It was so fun, we got plenty of smiles and the sun when it was out added so much golden light to the photos. It was almost too perfect!
Thank you Dru for being an inspiration to so many young ladies! And thank you for being so great to work with!
