Everything about this shoot I loved. Heather brought her natural charm to the shoot along with her bigger than life personality. Doing senior pictures is a great release for me. I get to work with some amazing young people who tell me about their hopes and dreams. Them being so young I can only imagine the future that is before them. Heather is no different. Her style is all her own, very boho! Her hair and overall look was so chill and relaxing, it gave us the direction we wanted to have a great session.
We started things off in the sand and then ventured to the hills at the dunes. It was a mixture of natural lighting and off camera flash. Of course I used my Sony a6500. I also used a mixed of the Sony 70-200 F4 and my Sony 85mm F1.8. I think I even snuck in some wide 16mm as well. I was concerned about the sunlight. I was hoping to get more golden hour but the sun hid quickly behind the high clouds. In any case we got some great lighting with and without the sun.
Once the sun got to a point where it looked like it was going to breakthrough the clouds we rushed to change outfits and found the coolest hill we could find. The sun starting peaking through the clouds giving us some of the most amazing pinks and blues. The sky lit up so beautifully.
The night ended with us having to say farewell. Heather hopped into her car and we clicked away!
Thank you Heather for the opportunity to capture your senior year! It was so humbling.
