Listen, before you judge me and say I'm the one being judgmental it was Lillian that said she was wearing mom jeans. OK?
Lillian and I have worked together three times now. The first couple were good but this particular session I felt was the most honest one yet. There wasn't a need to wear anything exciting, just a girl enjoying life. The goal of the shoot was to get work with backlighting and continue to churn out images using my eighty-five millimeter lens.
We briefly connected about the style of the shoot and decided to go chill and relaxed. I'm so glad we did. Lillian was able to be herself instead of trying to play a character. The images we got where fun, creative and relaxed. It was definitely a win for everyone involved.
She shows up and the first thing she says is, "Sorry for wearing my 'mom jeans'!"
I laughed, I guess I don't know what mom jeans? The outfit choice was about being relaxed and capturing the lady in front of the lens. Not letting the outfit outshine the model. I think she did an amazing job!
