I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Kaitlyn Smale and all the great gals at WeddingDay for allowing me to participate in June’s Summer Edition! Very grateful and I’ll see you on the next one.
To say that it was a team effort would be an understatement. It literally took a team of people to coordinate, create and capture not only this beautiful venue, but the artistry of this complete styled shoot. I want to give a tremendous shout out to all of these amazing people who helped WeddingDay and 19 North put together such a creative and fun magazine shoot! The day started just like any normal wedding for me would. I showed up early, got a lay of the land then started capturing what I call “prep shots”.

This shoot turned out beautifully, it’s a true testament to the talent it takes to get those magazine quality images that every bride is wanting for their wedding. The venue on top of that was a great venue to photograph. 19 North was pressing towards their completion date so we had to work around the construction crews buttoning things up for their first wedding the following week. Even with the space that we had available we were able to capture the essence of this modern industrial event venue!
Sarah entered the WeddingDay Model Competition, while she didn’t take first place (I was personally shocked to learn she didn’t win.) she wowed in the amazing wedding dresses. They gave us two dresses to use and Sarah was stunning in both!
I started the shoot on their staircase that is surrounded by huge bay windows that were letting in a ton of light. I could’ve shot on that staircase all day, BUT, we had more of the venue to cover.
This bouquet created by Michelle and her crew at Unveiled Weddings was a masterpiece. Perfect colors, and balance of flowers.
When you have big windows you need to get some fun shots, no?
Stationary helped add some amazing little touches to give you the overall look of a gorgeous wedding day.
Celery City brought a beautiful and vintage set up! It was so fun to photograph!
The one constant I loved about 19 North was the huge windows. Any photographer who shoots here will fall in love with all the natural light they give you!
Froehlich’s brought the deserts, and boy, was it hard to not eat all of them!
This final shot was completely lit by studio strobes and speed-lights. This helped me get that dramatic effect when the sun wasn’t wanting to come out and play. What a beautiful shot to end the day on!
Big thanks to all of the talented artists and venue who helped make this shoot a success. I’m sure you’ll see a lot more of us with WeddingDay!
